Snuggle Owls Cot Quilt

These cute owls will watch over your little ones while they sleep, suitable for a boy or a girl. I designed this cot quilt because I was tired of only seeing teddy bear blankets for children, I wanted more variety for the little ones of the world. Owls at that moment were really popular, but they had yet to reach the cot quilt market.

The completed size is 84cm x 142cm (33” x 56”)

Aussie Christmas Swag

Well the Christmas season is fast approaching us, which means I will be changing my home décor to the festive season decorations. I designed this because I was taking a family holiday to Canada and I wanted to take a gift to friends as I was staying in their homes. So when I went looking for a Christmas themed wall hanging pattern there wasn’t anything I wanted. I wanted a more Australian theme to my Christmas wall hanging, so I went home and got busy designing my own. It was so much fun that I have since made 4 of these for presents. These make really cute gifts as you can break them up into individual pieces and give them as small little wall hangings by themselves. Great teacher presents for the end of the school year!
Completed each piece measures 25cm x 28cm (10” x 11”)

My lovely little Aussie Christmas Swag was recently published in Country Threads Vol 13 No 6, which was really exciting for me. This is what they had to say about my humble little design, “This terrific swag designed by Julie Boyle is not only perfect for Aussie Christmases, it’s also ideal for sending to friends and family overseas!”
The have done a great job of setting out my pattern in an easy to read instructions with a really chic photo of one of my completed Aussie Christmas Swag.

Bush Buddies Table Runner

After I made the Aussie Christmas Swag I thought I would like to make a table runner in a similar fashion. Because you know I love to decorate according to the seasons. I created a little country at Christmas with this Bush Buddies table runner. I love table runners, which is lucky because I have a nice big table to set them on for great table features.
I have made this in both the country style and the bright and colourful style.

When completed it measures approx.. 25cm x 106cm (10” x 42”)
You can purchase both these pattern from my website here.

Bunny Surprise! Easter Table Runner

I love Easter, so does my family. I like to decorate my dinning room table for the different occasions throughout the year. A couple of years ago I designed this table runner for the Easter season. Cute little bunnies are a real conversation starter for our visitors at this time of the year.
I used felt for the little white bunnies to give it a nice texture. I have found that felt is really nice to work with for the applique technique.

You can decorate your table for Easter too, with this easy applique table runner. It measures approx.. 114cm x 38cm (45” x 15”)

Wise Owls

If you love owls, you will love this one. I designed this simple applique quilt suitable for mini quilts or wall hanging, anything your imagination can think of really.
I made this for my mother because she loves owls and at the time I wasn’t thinking of making this into a pattern but again I was told that I should make it into a pattern. People have gone crazy about it; owls seem to be pretty big at the moment.

The completed size of this small quilt is 43cm x 58cm (17”x 23”)

The instructions for the wall hanging part are included in the pattern.

A Touch of Country Wall Hanging

This is a beautiful country quilt I designed for a wedding present. In the centre of the quilt I filled with a photo of their property printed onto fabric. When making this for yourself you could print your own photo onto fabric or add your own touch of design. Surrounding the photo (centre piece) with a simple applique inspired from their country property.

My friends really loved their wedding present and have hung it in their new home together. I am glad they like it as this was one of my first designs, a lady from a patchwork shop was at the wedding and suggested that I should make a pattern of it which has started me on this journey of creating and sharing my passion for patchwork.

The completed quilt measures 110cm x 104cm (44”x41”)
